I open the last book on Earth. I am in no way aware that it is, factually, the last book on Earth. Only after I begin to read do I discover the fact – the fact that it is the last book on Earth. How you ask? It tells me. The first chapter titled This […]
Author: gaurideo
My name is Gauri Deo.
I love reading and I'm an amateur writer.
I am struggling to write well but I'm hopeful I'll improvise as the days pass.
Every time I begin to articulate my thoughts and put it into words, I feel panicky. I feel uncertain of whether the words would create any value to the hopeful reader.
It's been like this since a very long time.
If it's about writing, what content must it hold. Should it be the existing knowledge about the already known facts or should it be my own creation.
If the former, then probably the reason of my write up's acknowledgement is of simplicity, given that I have written in simple words and made the thought clear in the minds of the readers.
Lets come to the latter, creation. Creation in the field of literature I believe, is nothing but imitation of expressions. Imitation of what we've been reading since our childhood. So why would someone be stupid enough to read my thoughts when they already are aware of it. Probably it's the curious mind, that aims to explore the ways of expression. So here is my humble attempt to share my exploration.
I hope all this made sense to you.
About the below few paragraphs
I will attempt to describe my experience of writing the coming sentences or perhaps, paragraphs. Through these not very intelligent sentences, you will understand how I struggled or prospered in making sense to you, the reader; something only you can tell. First of all, thank you for reaching the fourth sentence of this pretentious paragraph. […]

George Orwell’s Accidental Duology
The two very popular works of George Orwell in the 1940s, ‘Animal Farm’ (published in 1945) and ‘1984’ (published on 1949) have a very intriguing connection. Animal Farm is a story about how a group of animals who rebel against their master (a human) and rule the part of the land where they reside […]
